1. How long is the TB test certificate valid for?
It is valid for 6 months from the date of the x-ray/test. Therefore we recommend that you have the test done at the earliest opportunity in case further tests are required.
2. How to book medicals for UK Visa?
Applicants are requested to book online by tapping on the link provided on the site.
3. How long does TB test results take for UK?
The whole process including the results takes about 2 to 3 hours at most.
4. What do I come along with for a UK medical test?
- Original Passport.
- The TB test fee.
- Proof of payment of the test fee.
- If you have had TB in the past or have any other lung disease, you should provide details of your
previous screening and, if possible, your medical notes and x-ray reports.
5. Can I do a TB test before applying for an UK visa?
Yes, you can. But it is advisable for applicants to do the TB test at least 2 months prior to their visa application because if the findings in the chest x-ray are abnormal and is suggestive of pulmonary tuberculosis, further testing (Sputum Smears/Culture) will have to be done. Result for this test may take about 4-8 weeks to be ready.

19. Will I get the result/certificate the same day?
Yes, you will, if the findings in the X-ray are normal or But it is advisable for applicants to do the TB test at least 2 months prior to their visa application because if the findings in the chest x-ray are abnormal and is suggestive of pulmonary tuberculosis, further testing (Sputum Smears/Culture) will have to be done and the applicant won’t get the certificate the same day. Result for the sputum test may take about 4-8 weeks to be ready.
